Government vehicles get exemption

Central and state government official vehicles like police vehicles, ambulances, fire brigades do not have to pay toll tax. Along with this, vehicles of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force also do not have to pay toll tax. Not only this, NDRF vehicles engaged in relief and rescue work during disasters have also been kept free from toll tax.

Tax is not taken from bike riders

Bike riders do not have to pay toll tax in any toll tax. This is because two-wheelers are light and have less impact on the roads. Therefore, Fastag is not required for two-wheelers. Along with this, pedestrians also do not have to pay toll tax.

These special people have got relief from toll tax

Vehicles of some private people also do not have to pay toll tax. This list includes the President of India, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Vice President, Governor of State, Cabinet Minister of the Union, Members of Parliament, Speaker of Lok Sabha, High Court and Supreme Court Judges, Union Minister of State, Chief Minister of State, Lieutenant Governor of Union Territory, Speaker of Legislative Assembly of a State, Army Commander, Vice Chief of Army Staff, Chief Secretary of a State Government within the concerned State, Members of Legislative Assembly of a State and foreign guests on state visit.
