Noida Airport: The Uttar Pradesh government has reduced the value added tax (VAT) on fuel used in airplanes to one percent. In such a situation, air travel from Noida airport will be cheaper than from Delhi. As an estimate, the air ticket from Delhi to Lucknow is Rs 3500, while the same ticket from Noida airport will cost Rs 2800.
The construction of Noida International Airport being built in Jewar will be completed by February next year. Passenger services will start from October. The special thing is that traveling from Noida airport will be cheaper than Delhi.
There will be a difference of 10 to 15 percent in air tickets
In fact, the Uttar Pradesh government has reduced the Value Added Tax (VAT) on fuel used in airplanes to one percent. Whereas in Delhi, 25 percent VAT has been imposed on fuel. In such a situation, there will be a difference of 10 to 15 percent in the price of air tickets.
On the other hand, after six years of operation of the airport, the annual income is estimated at Rs 1.4 lakh crore. In such a situation, 12.5 percent of this income will go to Yamuna Authority. The construction of Noida International Airport is going on at a fast pace. Uttar Pradesh government is leaving no stone unturned to increase the number of passengers here.
UP government reduced VAT on fuel
The state government has taken steps in this direction by reducing VAT on airplane fuel. Due to VAT being cheaper from Delhi, air tickets will also be available at lower prices. According to the authority official, as an estimate, the air ticket from Delhi to Lucknow is Rs 3500, while the ticket from Noida airport will be Rs 2800.
As the distance increases, the ticket price will also be significantly affected. This will have a direct impact on the number of passengers. The income amount will be recovered by the construction company after six years of operation of the airport. After six years, it will be divided among the airport shareholders according to their investment.
According to an estimate, after six years there will be an income of about Rs 1.4 lakh crore every year. Shareholders Uttar Pradesh Government will get 37.5 percent of this amount, Noida Authority 37.5 percent, Yamuna Authority 12.5 percent and Greater Noida Authority 12.5 percent.
