Ghaziabad [Ashish Gupta]. Noida-Ghaziabad Metro Expansion News: The funding pattern for the extension of the metro line from Noida Electronic City to Sahibabad and Vaishali to Mohannagar will be approved only after the Finance Department agrees. Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) VC Kanchan Verma said that the Housing and Urban Planning Department will now make a proposal for funding pattern and send it to the Finance Department. After getting consent from there, it will be decided whether the state government will contribute or not. The expansion of both lines will cost Rs 3352.22 crore.
In the proposed funding pattern, a contribution of Rs 1662.62 crore has been demanded from the state government. Contribution is being sought from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to purchase rolling stock, for which it is not ready.
Vaishali line expansion cost more
The blue line of the metro rail connecting Ghaziabad to Delhi is still up to Vaishali. This line is proposed to extend 5.04 km to Mohannagar. On this, stations will be built at Prahladgari, Vasundhara Sector-14, Sahibabad and Mohannagar. This expansion work will cost Rs 1808.22 crore, which is more than extending the Noida Electronic City Metro Line.
Noida’s path will be easy
The Blue Line of Metro from Noida Electronic City to Sahibabad will be given an extension of 5.017 km. This will improve connectivity between Ghaziabad and Noida. 1517 crore will be spent on the extension of this line.
On this line, stations will be built in Vaibhav section, DPS Indirapuram, Shaktikhand, Vasundhara Sector-7 and Sahibabad, so that more and more people will be able to take advantage of metro travel.
It is proposed to extend the metro corridor from Noida Electronic City to Sahibabad and from Vaishali to Mohannagar. This will ease the way for thousands of people from Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida. With this, the journey of the three cities will make the journey from morning to night difficult.
