Noida International Airport: Work is going on at a fast pace at Jewar Airport near Delhi’s IGI Airport. Earlier the Noida airport was expected to be inaugurated by the end of the year i.e. October 2024. But now there is news of delay in it. Now it is expected that the new airport will be operational by next year i.e. April 2025. Recently there was news that the construction of Noida International Airport being built about 75 km from Delhi is getting delayed.
Flights expected to start by the end of April 2025

Much work has been done on the terminal and control tower
The airport management has accepted that this is a ‘big and complex’ project. The next few weeks of construction are very important. ‘Work on the runway, passenger terminal and control tower has progressed a lot. Recently, contracts have been issued for ground handling, operation of commercial area and maintenance contract.’
For the operation of the airport, agreements have been made with many airlines for flights from Noida International Airport. This project, which is a part of the Uttar Pradesh government, is going to become the largest airport in the country after completion. The airport will be built in four phases on more than 5,000 hectares of land. According to the project officials, in the first phase, the airport will have one runway and one terminal building. It will have the capacity to handle 1.2 crore passengers every year. According to the agreement, the first flight to take off from the airport will be IndiGo.
