Noida: Noida Metro Rail Corporation has finalized the route to connect Sector-142 metro station of Aqua Line to Botanical Garden, the interchange station of Blue and Magenta Line. NMRC has selected the metro route passing through the side of the expressway. Some formalities are left, after which the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will start the work of making a fresh DPR on this route. For the last several months, Noida Metro and authorities were brainstorming about this metro route. Metro Corporation also held a meeting with the common people. Finally, the route along the expressway has been selected.

The number of stations on this route is estimated to be between 5 to 7. The proposal for the route of five stations has also been prepared in the meetings held recently. This includes Sector-91, Sector-98, Sector 105 Sector-44, Botanical Garden station. The number and location of the station will now be finalized by NMRC and handed over to DMRC. The DPR of this route is being prepared by DMRC itself.

Preparation was to take out the metro line from the middle of the sectors
Earlier, the DPR of this route which was prepared by DMRC was passing through the side of the expressway. Then in July, NMRC started brainstorming why the metro route should not be taken out from the settled sectors in Noida. After this, a route was prepared for 142 metro stations from Botanical Garden via Sector-44, 45, 46, 47, Panchsheel Inter College, Biodiversity Park and near Police Commissioner’s Office and brainstorming was started on it. It is believed that the usefulness of this route was not found correct on the feedback of common citizens and other facts that came to the fore. A ground survey was also done by the team of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation on this route. It is believed that on passing this route through the sectors, a large number of constructions would have come. Along with this, connectivity to the metro route has also been an important part of the sectors of Expressway Kinor.
Sectors and villages will be benefited
After exiting the Metro from Botanical Garden station, Mahamaya will go in front of Sector-44 near the flyover. Then moving towards Sector-96 from here, it will pass through the side of the service road of the expressway. Sectors 28, 29, 37, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 96, 99, 100, 105, 107, 108, 110 and Chhalera, Sadarpur, Bhangel, Salarpur, Gejha, Hajipur can be covered by Metro running on this line. The people of Adi village will be benefited. Apart from this, people living or working on the other side of the expressway will have connectivity to Greater Noida and Delhi by Metro.
