Old Vehicle Policy: Delhi Police has run a policy under which 10 year old diesel and 15 year old petrol vehicles will be banned but recently it is also being heard that the government has withdrawn its order. Let’s know its truth.
Police in Delhi has started a campaign to seize diesel and petrol vehicles that are 10-15 years old. Meanwhile, a message is becoming increasingly viral in which it has been said that the government has withdrawn the National Green Tribunal (NGT) order. There are about 50 lakh vehicles in the capital Delhi which will be removed from the roads.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has clarified the situation regarding this. The ministry has termed the matter of withdrawal of the NGT order as fake news. On behalf of the Central Government Ministry, it was said, ‘A fake news is viral on social media, in which it has been claimed that MoRTH has issued a notification to ban vehicles (10 years old diesel and diesel) in Delhi-NCR on behalf of Hon’ble NGT. 15 year old petrol vehicle) has been banned.
The Central Government has also clarified the claim that fitness certificate for such vehicles can be obtained by paying Rs 5,000. The government said, ‘MoRTH would like to clarify that the ban imposed by the NGT and the seal imposed by the Supreme Court, still stands.’ The Center also said that the notification being circulated was to regulate the trade of registered second-hand vehicles. It has nothing to do with banned vehicles.
