The fourth generation Rafale fighter aircraft, which multiplied the strength of the Indian Air Force, will now participate in the Air Force Day Parade for the first time on 8 October. The Air Force gave this information. Five Rafale fighter aircraft were formally inducted into the Air Force in a glittering ceremony held at Ambala air base last month.

During this time, several other officials including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, his French counterpart Florence Parley, Chief Defense Chairman Bipin Rawat and Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadoria were present. The entry of these aircraft is being considered very important amid the ongoing tension with China.

Features of Rafael Fighter Jet-

Being a Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA), the Rafael Jet is known for its speed, weaponry and attack capability. The Rafale is powered by two SNECMA M88 engines, which helps it achieve a high speed of 1,912 kmph and a range of over 3,700 km. It also has a Martin-Baker Mark 16F ‘zero-zero’ ejection seat capable of operating at zero speed and altitude.

Attacking ability

Having a top speed of 2223 km, it is equipped with laser-guided bombs weighing 900 kg. Its internal cannon can fire 2500 rounds per minute. In addition, the presence of MICA beyond visible range missiles, Hammer air-to-ground missiles, meteor and scalp missiles gives the Indian Air Force the ability to attack enemy targets 600 km away without crossing Indian air space. In addition, the Rafale jet will be equipped with a HAMMER missile with a range of 60-70 km. This gives India the ability to destroy bunkers, hardened shelters and other targets in all other areas, including hilly places like East Ladakh.

Let me tell you, the first batch of five Rafale aircraft reached India on 29 July. About four years ago, India signed an intergovernmental agreement with France for the purchase of 36 such aircraft at a cost of Rs 59,000 crore.
