A Lawyer AP Suryaprakasam from Chennai moved the Madras High Court, seeking a ban on all sorts of online gambling applications in the country. The lawyer mentioned in his petition that celebrities like Tamannah Bhatia and Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli are capable of influencing youngsters in the country who take up online gambling.
Now according to the latest update, a petition has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking the prosecution of India cricket team captain Virat Kohli and milky siren Tamannah Bhatia for endorsing online gambling.

In the petition, the petitioner has sought direction from MHC to ban the online gambling apps stating that youngsters are getting addicted to it. The petitioner added that the online gambling companies are using stars like Virat Kohli and Tamannah Bhatia to brainwash youngsters and therefore, both should be arrested for it.
The petitioner also mentioned the case of a youngster who died by suicide as he couldn’t pay back the money he took for online gambling. The petitioner further said that youngsters borrow money at high-interest rate and commit suicide once they are unable to make profits at these online gambling sites. The petitioner compared Online gambling to the blue whale challenge game that led to many youths ending their lives.
