PACL Refund Latest News 2022: Millions of investors who have invested money in Pearls, the investment plan of PACL India Limited, now have only 6 days left. After this they will not get a chance for refund. Market regulator SEBI has kept the refund process open till 30 June 2022. During this time, investors who make claims can get a refund. They have to submit the original documents to get the money back. For this they will receive SMS. The regulator has also given the facility to update the mobile number. Investors will be able to update mobile
A high-powered committee of SEBI on Friday allowed PACL investors to update their mobile numbers. Apart from this, the facility has been given to the investors to trace the SMS sent for submitting the original documents. In April, the committee had asked investors investing in illegal schemes of PACL to submit their documents by June 30 only after receiving SMS.
Can update mobile number online
The market regulator had constituted a committee headed by former Chief Justice of India RM Lodha following the Supreme Court’s order to refund investors money in the PACL group case. According to a press release issued on the SEBI website, the committee was receiving queries from investors regarding non-receipt of SMS for original PACL certificates due to change in mobile number. Many investors have said that the mobile numbers provided by them while submitting online claims are no longer in the facility. Because of which they have not received SMS. After these complaints from the investors, the committee has now given the facility to the investors/applicants of PACL to update/change their registered mobile number online on the web portal.
30th June is the last date to claim
SEBI has given strict instructions that investors should not give the original documents of investment in Pearls to anyone. The last compliment for claiming investors is 30 June 2022. Therefore it is very important that all the investors register their claim before this date. For this the refund window has been opened.
Documents will be submitted only after SMS
SEBI has asked investors to apply for refund by June 30. However, the condition for this is that the investors will submit their documents only when they get the SMS. Many investors are not getting SMS due to their phone numbers being switched off. After the instructions of the committee, investors will be able to enter their new phone number, after which they can be sent SMS, after getting the MSS, the investor will be able to copy the PACL certificate, PACL receipts (if any), PAN card, canceled cheque, banker’s certificate And can claim with photograph.
