What is the new PAN 2.0?
Pan 2.0: The new PAN 2.0 is a digital PAN card, which will have a QR code. This card will be completely electronic and you will get this PAN on your email within 30 minutes. All the details related to your PAN will be encrypted in the QR code given in the new PAN. The government wants to reduce the need for physical cards through PAN 2.0. Because it will be more secure than the old PAN. You will not have to wait for 10 to 15 days for the delivery of PAN. You will get it immediately in PDF format on email within 30 minutes of applying. It is digitally safe because the QR code will reduce the chances of fraud. Online verification will be easier than before. PAN will be verified by scanning the QR code of the new PAN. How to apply for a new PAN?
Go to the Income Tax e-PAN portal. On the home page, go to the Apply for Instant PAN option. Type your Aadhaar number. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
