Indian PAN cardholders can get their PAN card reprinted by paying a charge of just Rs 50. The reprinted PAN card will also have a QR code, which will be sent digitally to the cardholder’s registered email address. If you apply for a physical copy, it will also be sent to your home address by paying a charge of Rs 50. If anyone needs to change or update information in their PAN, that work will be done for free. A new PAN card with QR code will be issued on the revised and updated basis.

Keep these things in mind before reprinting your PAN card

Before applying for a PAN card reprint, it is important to know which agency has issued your existing PAN card. The Income Tax Department of India has two authorized agencies for PAN service. One of these agencies is Protean, formerly known as NSDL e-Governance. The other is UTIITSL (UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Ltd). The information of the issuing agency is on the back of your PAN card. After looking at this, you can contact the concerned agency and start the reprint process.

Process for PAN card reprint on Protean

This is the way to reprint PAN card through Protean (NSDL)

  • Visit the website: Go to the Protean Reprint PAN Page.
  • Fill in the details: Enter the required details like PAN, Aadhaar (for individuals only) and date of birth. Select the tick boxes and click on ‘Submit’.
  • Verify details: Your details will be partially masked. Select the option for OTP (mobile number, email ID or both).
  • Do OTP verification: Enter the OTP sent within 10 minutes and click on ‘Validate’.
  • Make Payment: Pay ₹50. Once the payment is successful, an Acknowledgement Receipt will be generated, save it for future use.
  • Download e-PAN: You can download e-PAN from the NSDL website 24 hours after payment. The reprinted PAN card will be delivered to your home at the registered address within 15-20 days.

Process for PAN Card Reprint at UTIITSL

  • Those whose PAN is issued by UTIITSL can apply by visiting UTIITSL Reprint PAN Page.
  • Click on ‘Reprint PAN Card’ option.
  • Fill in the required details – PAN, date of birth, and captcha code. Click on ‘Submit’.
  • The process is similar to NSDL (Protean). OTP verification, payment, and reprint PAN card will be sent to the registered address.
