The Income Tax Department has made it mandatory for all PAN card holders to link PAN with Aadhaar. If you do not link your PAN card with Aadhaar, you may have to pay a fine of up to Rs 10,000.
Any kind of money transaction cannot be done without PAN card. If your PAN card becomes inactive then all your work will get stuck. In such a situation, if you have not linked it with your Aadhaar yet, then do it as soon as possible. A few days back, the Income Tax Department has made it mandatory for all PAN card holders to link PAN with Aadhaar.
If there is a mistake this time, then a fine of 10 thousand
If you do not do so within the stipulated time frame, you may have to pay a hefty fine of Rs 10,000. The last date for linking PAN-Aadhaar is 30 September. Earlier, the last date for linking PAN card with Aadhaar was March 31, 2021, after which this date was extended to June 30.
This is the due date

Process to link PAN with Aadhaar
1. To link your PAN card with Aadhaar, you must first visit the website www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in .
2. In this website you will see the option of ‘Link Aadhaar’.
3. On clicking this link, a new page will open on your screen.
4. Here you will have to fill your Aadhaar number, PAN card number and some of your personal information.
5. After this, your PAN card will be linked with your Aadhaar as soon as you click on the button of ‘Submit’.
These facilities will be affected if PAN is not linked
If you are not able to link your PAN card with your Aadhaar card by June 30, 2021, then you will not be able to use your PAN card. After June 30, your PAN card will be deactivated. If you are not able to link your PAN card with your Aadhaar within the stipulated time frame, then you may have to face many problems. You may have to face trouble in opening an account in a bank, taking advantage of any government scheme or availing any kind of scholarship.
