PAN Card No minor can directly apply for a PAN card, for this the parents of the child must apply on their behalf.
PAN Card. These days the government has made PAN card mandatory in any financial work. From filling ITR to opening a demat account, PAN card has been made mandatory for everyone. In general we have seen that people make their PAN card after attaining the age of 18 years, but now you can make PAN card even before attaining the age of 18 years. If you want to make PAN card of your child then you can apply online. The special thing here is that no minor can directly apply for a PAN card, for this the parents of the child will have to apply on their behalf.
If you are less than 18 years of age, then this is the rule for making PAN card.
- To apply online for making a PAN card, first of all visit the NSDL website (https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/endUserRegisterContact.html).
- Here, after selecting the correct category of the applicant, all the personal information will have to be filled and the proof of the age of the minor and other necessary documents including the photograph of the parents will have to be uploaded.
- Here parents will also have to upload their signature and pay a fee of Rs.107.
- After this you will get 1 receipt number, which you can use to check the status of the application.
- After applying online for PAN card you will get a mail on your email id.
- After the verification of documents, the PAN card will reach your home within 15 days.
Documents required for PAN card
- For the application of PAN card, the proof of address and identity of the parents of the minor will be required. Apart from this, the proof of address and identity of the applicant is also required. The guardian of the minor has to submit any one of the documents like
- Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID. Address proof requires submission of a copy of Aadhar Card, Post Office Passbook, Property Registration Document or Domicile Proof.
