How to get correction done online
- First of all you have to go to the official website of Income Tax India (www.incometaxindia.gov.in).
- Now here you have to log in using the PAN number.
- After this, the option of PAN card correction has to be selected.
- Now all the information asked on the screen and the documents related to it have to be uploaded.
- After this, to submit the form, you have to pay about Rs 106 which is the correction fee.
- Now after paying the fee, you have to submit, after which you will get a receipt.
- With the help of the number given on the receipt, you can track when your updated PAN card will be delivered.
- You can also get correction done in PAN card through NSDL e-Gov portal.
How to do correction offline
Apart from online, you can also get the PAN card corrected offline. For this you have to go to the nearest PAN facility center. Here you have to fill the form for correction in PAN card and also have to attach the necessary documents. After this, submit the form and the updated PAN card will arrive at your home within a few days.
