A new executive lounge has been built on the first floor of platform number 1 of New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) towards Paharganj. This is the second Executive Lounge, apart from the already existing one Executive Lounge which is operational on Platform No. 16 since 2016. Apart from this, IRCTC is already operating Executive Lounges at the railway stations of Agra, Jaipur, Sealdah, Ahmedabad and Madurai.
Facilities like airport now at railway station
The state-of-the-art Executive Lounge at New Delhi Railway Station has been constructed keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers. Its objective is to provide all the services and facilities required for the comfortable waiting area of ​​the commuters. This lounge has been designed on the lines of International Airport lounge with large space and calm atmosphere. A new Capsule Elevator has been installed on Platform No. 1 to facilitate the entry of passengers in the Executive Lounge.
This lounge is equipped with all facilities
The new Executive Lounge will provide paid services to passengers like music, Wi-Fi internet, TV, train info monitor, cold and hot water, multi-cuisine buffet, recliners, spacious luggage rack. Toilets with wash and change facilities, show shiners on display, news papers and magazines and computers, printers, photostats and faxes etc. is a fully operational commercial focal point with high level of convenience. Price can be availed by everyone
The entry fee from IRCTC is Rs 150/- for one hour and Rs 99/- for each additional hour. The lounge will be operational 24×7 and that entry fee will include a range of services in a fully air conditioned complex with comfortable seating, Wi-Fi internet facility, sale of books and magazines, complimentary tea/coffee/beverages, channels.
Better facility of clean toilets
Clean toilets have been arranged to make the passengers feel at home before and after the journey. Separate washrooms for women and men will be provided at normal charges. There are 200+ clean toilets which include washable towels, soap, shampoo, shower cap and dental kit.
Travelers will be able to enjoy all kinds of food
