New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has prepared a complete roadmap for the private player train project. Private Player Train will have many features. According to the information, passengers on private trains may have to pay for preferred seats like airlines. Not only preferred seats, passengers may have to pay for any additional convenience in on-board services. Which can include Wi-Fi, on-board entertainment and some other features. However, the decision to levy fees for these services will be in the hands of private companies.
The railways have given private companies the freedom to fix the fares of trains . At the same time, private players will also be exempted from creating new avenues for revenue or exploring new areas. Railways have categorically stated that a certain part of the gross revenue earned by the companies is also to be shared with the railways.
Railways has set a target of running the first private player train by April 2023. The Ministry of Railways has convened the first pre-bid meeting for the project on July 21. Many big names have already shown keen interest in the Railway Mega Project.

Companies will have to pay the prescribed fee, in addition to the conditions fixed by the railways. The company will also have to pay a fine for poor performance. Private companies will have the option to purchase trains and engines from the source of their choice while complying with railway standards.
