Passport Index 2025 Ranking: The ranking of the world’s most powerful passport has come out. Singapore is once again at the top in this. At the same time, many countries which were at the first ranking in the year 2024 have now gone down. India’s ranking has improved. At the same time, Pakistan has once again topped from the bottom.

Passport Index 2025 Ranking: The ranking of the world’s most powerful passport has come out. This ranking is released every year by the ‘Henley Passport Index’. The ranking of the year 2025 has surprised many people. This time Singapore’s passport has become the most powerful passport in the world. However, this is not a new thing for Singapore, because last year also it was at number 1. But this time Singapore is the only country which is at number 1. Last year France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Spain were also at this position.

The strength of a country’s passport depends on how many countries can be traveled through it without visa or visa on arrival. Singapore passport holders can travel to 195 countries without visa. Japan is in second place in the ranking, whose passport allows entry to 193 countries. Finland, France, Germany, Italy, South Korea and Spain are in third place, whose passports allow travel to 192 countries. Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden are in fourth place.

Status of India and Pakistan

The year 2025 has brought good news for India. The ranking of the Indian passport has improved. In the year 2024, India’s ranking was 85th, and Indian passport holders could travel to 57 countries without a visa. In 2025, India’s ranking has increased to 80th, and now visa-free travel is possible in 62 countries. On the other hand, if we talk about Pakistan’s ranking, it has again topped from the bottom. Pakistan’s ranking has fallen. In the year 2024, Pakistan was at number 101, while now it has reached 103. Through Pakistani passport, one can go to 34 countries without prior visa.

Worst ranked countries

If we talk about the worst passport ranking, Afghanistan’s name comes in it. Afghanistan’s ranking is 106th. Syria’s is 105, Iraq’s is 104, Yemen and Pakistan’s is 103. Pakistani passport’s ranking is worse than Somalia, Bangladesh’s and North Korea’s. Somalia’s passport’s ranking is 102, Nepal’s is 101, Libya’s Bangladesh’s is 100 and North Korea’s is 99. Through North Korean passport one can travel to 99 countries without any prior visa.
