New Delhi: Paytm FASTag Parking: If your car has FASTag installed, then its parking will also be paid by Paytm. Digital payment services company Paytm will start FASTag based parking services across the country. Giving information about this, Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL) has said that in partnership with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the country’s first FASTag based metro parking facility has been started.
FASTag based Paytm parking service
Paytm has started FASTag based parking facility at Kashmere Gate metro station in Delhi. Paytm Payments Bank will facilitate FASTag-based payment for cars with valid FASTag stickers. It will work in the same way as it does on toll points. Meaning when you enter and exit the parking lot, FASTag will deduct the parking fee according to the hours. You will not need to pay in cash. Additionally, Paytm Payments Bank has also launched a UPI-based payment solution for two-wheelers entering the parking lot.
Paytm has issued 1 crore FASTag
DMRC Managing Director Mangu Singh said in a statement issued by PPBL that this is another step towards digitization in DMRC’s endeavor to provide solutions to our customers, especially at a time when contactless transaction methods are the need of the hour. . Paytm Payments Bank became the first bank in the country to achieve the figure of issuing 1 crore FASTag in June. According to NPCI, a total of more than 3.47 crore FASTags were issued by all banks till the end of June 2021.
Service will also start in shopping malls, hospitals
In addition, PPBL is in talks with its stakeholders to implement a digital payment solution for parking areas at shopping malls, hospitals and airports. A statement issued by PPBL said that PPBL will digitize parking facilities across the country, with the Kashmere Gate Metro station being the first station to be operated on the bank’s digital payment solution. The bank is working closely with municipal corporations in several states to introduce FASTag based parking facilities in both organized and unorganized places.
FASTag network expanded
PPBL Managing Director and CEO Satish Gupta said, “We have tried to expand the FASTag network in our country. We are excited to partner with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to launch a digital payment solution at their parking facility. We will continue to work with other parking providers across the country to adopt a secure and contactless payment solution by implementing the FASTag system.
