Payment app Paytm keeps on enhancing the user experience. Now Paytm has announced that it is releasing Tap to Pay feature. With this, you can do instant transactions without opening the Paytm app. You can complete the transaction by tapping your phone on the PoS machine.
Paytm service which makes payment through NFC also works without internet connection. This service is currently made available for Android users. iOS users cannot use this service.
The NFC-supported Tap to Pay feature is only accessible through Apple Pay for iPhone users, which is currently not available in India. In such a situation, if you are an Android user and want to use the Tap to Pay feature on your phone, then the complete process for this is being told here.
For this you have to first open Paytm app. Before opening the app, you must update it to the latest version by visiting the Google Play Store. In the new version itself, you will get to see the tap to pay feature.
After the app is opened, you have to choose Tap to Pay. After this you have to select the option of Add New Card. You will find this at the bottom of the screen. If you have already saved the card then you can skip this step.
After this select the card for which you want to activate this feature. Then you have to tap on Proceed to Verify Card. One time password will come on your phone. Enter it and activate the Tap to Pay feature.
Your phone must have NFC enabled to use the Tap To Pay feature. With this the upper limit of transfer is Rs 5000. If there is a transaction of more than 5 thousand rupees, then you will have to enter the PIN on the PoS machine.
