Now they will not have to wait for 60 years. State CM Hemant Soren has made a big announcement in this matter. He has said that he will be entitled for pension at the age of 50. That means the age for receiving pension has been reduced by 10 years. In such a situation, people can now apply for old age pension at the age of 50 years.
Hemant Soren further said that his government will also reserve 75 percent jobs in state companies. Soren announced this at a function organized in Morhabadi, Ranchi on the completion of 4 years of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) in the state.
Soren government gave pension to 36 lakh people
Arguing on reducing the pension age, state CM Hemant Soren said that their mortality rate is high. They do not get work after 60 years. In such a situation, it has been decided to give pension to tribals and Dalits at the age of 50 years. The Soren government has claimed that in the 20 years after the formation of Jharkhand in 2000, only 16 lakh people have got the benefit of pension. His government has provided pension to 36 lakh people. Most of whom are above 60 years of age. He said that in 4 years our government has given pension benefits to 36 lakh people above 60 years of age, widows above 18 years of age and disabled people.
Let us tell you that the Hemant Soren government, which came to power in December 2019, has introduced pension for different categories of people. Due to which the number of pensioners has increased by 200 percent. People are getting pension in five categories from the state government. Rs 2,400 crore has been spent in this financial year.
