The last date for submission of life certificate for pensioners is nearing. To complete this work, there is time till 30 November i.e. only 10 days. In such a situation, it is better to settle this work as soon as possible without any delay.
However, these deadlines are not applicable to those who are getting pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995 from the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO).
EPFO has given them relief
EPFO had given a tweet giving relief to pensioners in the past. It was said in this that EPS-95 pensioners can now submit life certificate at any time, that is, it can be submitted at any time of the year. The life certificate submitted by such pensioners will be valid for one year from the date of submission. To put it plainly, if the life certificate was submitted on 31st December last year, then this year also there is a chance to submit it by this date.
Most important work to get pension
It is necessary to submit the life certificate every year. Negligence in this work can cause problems in pension payment. Except pensioners coming under EPS-95, it is necessary to submit Annual Life Certificate or Jeevan Pramaan by 30 November 2022. Failure to do so can stop the pension. Submitting it has become very easy. There are options to submit it online or through doorstep service.

Offline submission method
Apart from generating Digital Life Certificate from Jeevan Praman Patra Portal, you can also get it through Bank, Government Office, Post Office. Take the form from here, fill it and submit it. Forms are available at the bank or post office counter only. If the form is not there, then you can demand it from the employees present there.
Doorstep DLC Service Available
According to EPFO, the life certificate submitted through any means online or offline is equally valid. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) facilitates pensioners to submit digital life certificates from the comfort of their homes. You can take advantage of Doorstep DLC Service. For this you have to make a nominal payment. Under this facility, a postman from the nearest post office will come to your home and complete the process of generating DLC at your home.
