Pension News . There is big news for thousands of pensioners of Uttar Pradesh. May 15 has been kept as the last date for old age pension holder-registration and linkup on the portal of social welfare. If this data is not updated by this date, then the pension will not be available.
Actually, old age pension is given by the UP government to those above 60. In Barabanki district, more than one lakh 19 thousand people are the beneficiaries of this pension. Some changes have been made in the rules of this scheme, under which the next installment of old age pension will be verified only after linking it on the social welfare portal. For this, the last date has been kept as 15 May 2022, after this there will be no change and pension will also not be available.
By visiting the Social Pension Portal, the pensioner can get the authentication done by visiting the Jan Seva Kendra or Common Service Center. For this, link up the mobile number which is fed on your Aadhar card with the bank account, only then authentication can be done. Keep in mind that the mobile number fed in the bank and aadhar card should be same. If the mobile numbers are different then your linkup will not be possible. Let us inform that till now a total of 36 thousand old pensioners have registered on the portal, that is, only 34 percent out of 1 lakh 19000 people have linked data, Aadhaar and bank account on the portal and 50 percent registration is yet to be done. The same directorate was also ordered to get all the pension holders certified, despite the delay in its work, due to which the DM has issued notices to all the BDOs.
