If you are a pensioner then there is an important update for you. If the pensioners do not submit the life certificate by December 31, then the pension payment will stop. Let us know how you can submit your life certificate-
Method 1: Through Jeevan Pramaan Portal
You can also do this work through Jeevan Pramaan Portal https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/. For this you have to first download Jeevan Pramaan App from the portal. Also must be a fingerprint device validated by UDAI. After this, using the email id and parameters through the smartphone, the life certificate can be submitted sitting at home using the methods mentioned in the app.
Second way: You can submit through Video call
Pensioners can submit digital life certificates using doorstep banking service of 12 public sector banks i.e. banking facility at home. doorstepbanks.com or www.dsb.imfast.co.in/doorstep/login), or through ‘Doorstep Banking’ mobile app. These 12 banks include SBI, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab and Sind Bank, UCO Bank and Union Bank of India.
Third way: You can take service from postman
In November 2020, the Department of Posts in association with India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology had launched the doorstep service for digital life certificate submission through postman. IPPB is using access points of post offices and national network of postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks equipped with smartphones and biometric devices to provide doorstep banking services.
Fourth way: By visiting the branch of the bank where your pension comes
If you are not able to submit life certificate digitally, then you can submit it by visiting the branch of the bank where your pension is drawn. Banks also offer this service at home, however, they also charge some fees instead.
Fifth way: Facility in pension office also
You can also submit the life certificate directly to the Central Pension Office and submit it through the pension officer. However, for the convenience of pensioners, the government has also given many options to deposit from home.
