The government has approved to credit dearness relief. Thousands of rupees will be deposited in the account of pensioners. The revised rates of dearness relief to freedom fighter pensioners have been implemented from July 1, 2021. His pension has been increased from Rs 3000 to Rs 9000.
Pensioners DR Hike: Good news is coming for pensioners in 2022. The government has approved the credit of his enhanced Dearness Relief (DR) to his pension account. This will benefit crores of pensioners. The government has asked the banks to start calculation of pension of those pensioners whose dearness relief has been increased accordingly. Banks need not wait for the orders of the concerned department.
According to Satish Kumar Garg, Senior Accounts Officer, Central Pension Accounting Office, banks have to release funds to central civil pensioners, freedom fighters (SSS Yojana), Supreme Court judges, Members of Parliament and other pensioners at the earliest. This will include the increase that their departments have put in. The department has already issued orders in this regard. If the Pension Withdrawal Bank has not received the order, then it can get its information on its portal.
