Petrol-Diesel Price 2 December: Oil marketing companies have updated the rates of petrol and diesel. Today, on 2 December, the cheapest petrol in India is available in Port Blair. Diesel is also cheaper here than other cities. Here one liter of petrol is available for Rs 82.46 and one liter of diesel for Rs 78.05. Whereas, in Delhi petrol is Rs 94.77 and diesel is Rs 87.67 per liter. That is, even today there is no change in the rate of petrol and diesel.
On the other hand, crude oil prices are rising. Brent crude February futures were trading at $72.04 with a gain of 0.28 per cent around 6:29 am. At the same time, WTI crude January futures have risen by 0.31% to Rs 68.21.
Petrol and diesel consumption in India jumps in November
Petrol and diesel consumption in India jumped in November due to the festive season. Petrol sales of three government companies, which control 90 per cent of the fuel market, rose 8.3 per cent to 31 lakh tonnes in November, while consumption in the same month last year was 28.6 lakh tonnes. Diesel demand rose 5.9 per cent to 72 lakh tonnes.
Demand had declined in the previous months. Petrol sales saw an annual increase, while diesel sales have declined since the monsoon and November was the first month in which consumption increased.
