Let us tell you that the main oil marketing companies of India like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) update the fuel price every morning.
GST is not levied on fuel price. VAT (Value Added Tax) is imposed on it by the state government. Because of this, their prices are different in all the cities. In such a situation, the driver is advised to fill the tank only after checking the latest rate.

- The price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 104.93 per liter and diesel is Rs 91.75 per liter.
- The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 100.73 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 92.32 per liter.
