Petrol Diesel Price Today: Major oil companies of the country like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) update the prices of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am. Oil marketing companies have updated the fuel price for today i.e. 17 September 2024 (Tuesday).
According to the new update, even today there has been no significant change in the price of oil in most cities. This means that you will not save or lose much on filling petrol and diesel.
Prices are different in all cities
Petrol and diesel prices are different in metros and other cities. The reason for this is VAT (Vale Added Tax). Actually, the fuel price is not yet under the purview of GST. VAT i.e. value added tax is levied on it. The rates of VAT are decided by the state government. In such a situation, the rate of VAT is different in every state. Because of this, the prices are also different in all cities.

- The price of one liter of petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.72 and the price of diesel is Rs 87.66 per liter.
- The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 103.44 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 89.95 per liter.
- The price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 104.95 per liter and diesel is Rs 91.75 per liter.
- In Chennai, the price of petrol is Rs 100.85 per liter and diesel is Rs 92.32 per liter.

- Noida: Petrol is Rs 94.66 per liter and diesel is Rs 87.96 per liter
- Gurugram: Petrol is Rs 95.04 per liter and diesel is Rs 88.05 per liter
- Bengaluru: Petrol is Rs 102.84 per liter and diesel is Rs 88.92 per liter
- Chandigarh: Petrol is Rs 94.22 per liter and diesel is Rs 82.38 per liter
