Prices are different in every city
GST is not levied on fuel prices in India. The state government levies VAT (Vale Added Tax) on it. Since the rate of VAT is different in every state, due to this the fuel prices are also different in all the cities.

- The price of one liter of petrol in Delhi is Rs 94.72 and the price of diesel is Rs 87.62 per liter.
- The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 103.44 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 89.97 per liter.
- The price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 104.95 per liter and diesel is Rs 91.76 per liter.
- The price of petrol in Chennai is Rs 100.75 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 92.34 per liter.
