Petrol-Diesel Price Today: Government oil marketing companies update the price of petrol and diesel every day at 6 am since 2017. However, there has been no major change in these prices for the last few months. The government last cut the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2-2 per liter in March 2024 before the Lok Sabha elections.
Recently, investment firm CLSA had said that petrol and diesel prices may come down after October 5, 2024. At the same time, Swiss brokerage firm USB has also estimated that the government may soon cut the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 to Rs 3 per liter, as oil marketing companies are making a profit of Rs 10-15 per liter on both these fuels. However, no official information has come about this yet.

- The price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 103.43 per liter and the price of diesel is Rs 89.95 per liter.
- In Kolkata, the price of petrol is Rs 104.93 per liter and diesel is Rs 91.75 per liter.
- In Chennai, the price of petrol is Rs 100.73 per liter and diesel is Rs 92.32 per liter.
