Fears of a slowdown in the global economy are expected to reduce fuel consumption, due to which crude prices have fallen by about $ 8 this week. Meanwhile, government oil companies released new rates of petrol and diesel on Friday morning. Companies are buying cheaper oil from Russia, so the prices are stable in the retail market.
New Delhi. The Organization of the Oil Producing Countries (OPEC) has indicated to increase the supply, as well as the possibility of a slowdown in the global economy, fuel consumption is expected to decrease. Due to these reasons, the price of crude oil in the global market has fallen to around $ 111 per barrel.
Meanwhile, government oil companies have released new rates of petrol and diesel on Saturday morning. The companies have not made any change in the retail prices of petrol and diesel even today. Petrol is still being sold in Delhi for Rs 96.72 a liter. Government refinery companies are getting cheaper oil from Russia. This is the reason that there has been no increase in the prices of petrol and diesel since April 6.
