According to the EPFO, if there is an urgent need of one lakh rupees to get the patient admitted to the hospital due to a life-threatening disease, then PF account holders can take advantage of this facility. The patient of the employee claiming Medical Advance is required to be admitted to Government/Public Sector Unit/CGHS Panel Hospital. If the patient has been admitted to an emergency in a private hospital, then an investigation will be done in this regard. PF account holders can take online advance claim by visiting the official website of EPFO www.epfindia.gov.in to withdraw money under this facility. Here you have to fill the claim (Form-31,19,10C and 10D) by clicking on online services. After this, you have to verify by entering the last 4 digits of your bank account and click on Proceed for Online Claim. After this select PF Advance (Form 31) from the drop down.
