New Delhi: If you work somewhere, then some part of your salary will be deposited as PF. For this EPFO opens the PF account of the subscribers. Some bank account is linked with PF account. But many times it happens that the subscribers have already closed the bank account linked to the PF account and forgot to link the new bank account with the PF account. Due to non-updation of bank account information, account holders are not able to withdraw money from their PF account. In such a situation, it is necessary to update the information of your new bank account with the PF account. Let’s see how you can add it.
Follow these steps
Step 1. First of all EPFO member has to visit Unified Member Portal ( https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ ) and login with username and password.
Step 2. After this you have to click on ‘Manage’ tab.
Step 3. After this, ‘KYC’ has to be selected from the drop down menu.
Step 4. Now you have to select your bank and enter the bank account number, name and IFSC code and click on ‘Save’.
Step 5. Now this information of yours once approved by the employer will appear in the Approved KYC section and thus your new bank account information will be updated with the EPF account.
Check PF account balance like this
- First of all, EPFO member has to visit www.epfindia.gov.in website.
- Now the member has to click on the ‘For Employees’ option from the ‘Our Services’ tab.
- Now the member has to click on ‘Member Passbook’ from the ‘Services’ tab.
- After this you will have to enter your UAN and password to login. Along with this, you will be able to see the passbook of your PF account.
