Anyway, every PF account holder should check at least once a month how much amount has been deposited by the company in the PF account. You can check in many ways.

You can know the amount deposited in your PF account sitting at home. For this you do not even need to go to office. PF amount is a major part of the income. Every month, deductions are made from the salaries of employed people and deposited in the provident fund account. There are about 7 crore active EPF accounts in the country. Here you will also be able to easily see the passbook. For this, go to the EPFO section present on Umang app. Click on Employee Centric Service. Select View Passbook and log in with UAN to view the passbook. For this you only need to have a UAN registered mobile number.

Know PF amount through message

You can also check PF balance through SMS. EPFO has issued the number for this. For this also, SMS will have to be sent to 7738299899 from the registered mobile number. As soon as you send SMS, EPFO will send you information about your PF contribution and balance.

The method of sending SMS is also very easy. For this you have to write ‘EPFOHO UAN’ and send it to 7738299899. This facility is available in 10 languages English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali.

If you want to send the message in English then you have to write EPFOHO UAN ENG. The last three words (ENG) mean language. If you enter these three words, you will get balance information in English. If you enter Hindi (HIN) code, you will get information in Hindi. Keep in mind that you do not have to enter your UAN number in place of UAN. Just leave it by writing UAN.

Find out the amount through EPFO website

You can also check PF balance by visiting EPFO website. For this, log in to EPFO Passbook Protal with your UAN and password. Then click on ‘Download/View Passbook’. You can log in directly with the help of UAN at (https://passbook.epfindia.gov.in/MemberPassBook/Login).

According to EPFO rules, information will be received through phone call or message only to the consumer whose UAN is active. Along with this, if your UAN is linked to any of your bank accounts, Aadhaar and PAN, then you can get all the details of your last contribution and account.
