Those who have not yet activated their UAN can follow this process and do it online through the EPFO ​​portal.

  • First, go to the EPFO ​​portal at unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in.
  • Select ‘Activate UAN’ from the ‘Important Links’ section.
  • Enter your EPFO ​​details, which are UAN, Aadhaar number, name, date of birth and registered mobile number.
  • Click on ‘Get Authorization PIN’ to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
  • Verify the OTP to activate your UAN.
  • You will get a user ID and password to access EPFO ​​services.
  • Once the UAN is activated, employees can log in and link their Aadhaar and bank account details to complete the process.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

If you fail to complete UAN activation and Aadhaar linking by February 15th:
