The department has directed all the districts to complete the entire process before paying the amount to the beneficiaries.
The first installment will be given to the beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana by setting up camps in all the districts of Bihar. In this regard, camps will be organized at the state level, district level and block level also. Let us inform that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the first PMAY-G installment related to this scheme to more than 1.47 lakh beneficiaries of Tripura through video conferencing on November 14, 2021.
In Bihar, the Rural Development Department had planned to pay the first installment in January itself, but it got delayed due to Corona. Camping was banned due to restrictions imposed regarding corona infection, but now that ban has been lifted. Now the department has instructed the districts to pay the first installment in February in any case.
The first PMAY-G installment will be released to the beneficiaries on January 25
The Rural Development Department has given strict instructions to all the districts to prepare a list after completing the claims and objections of the beneficiaries at the earliest. The department has also directed all the district magistrates that after releasing the first installment, the work of housing scheme should be started for the beneficiaries by running a campaign in the entire district. Only after this the second and third installments will be released.
Let us inform that in the financial year 2021-22, Bihar has got a target of building 11 lakh 49 thousand houses. Like other states of the country, here also the beneficiaries will be given money for construction of houses in three installments. Let us tell you that in this scheme, the benefit of the second installment is given to the beneficiary only when he completes the foundation work of the house. At the same time, the third installment is available after the completion of window, door and roof work. In Bihar, 40-40 thousand rupees will be paid to all the beneficiaries in all three installments.
