Development Authority will end the agreement
If the beneficiary does not stay in the house allotted under PM Awas Yojana for five years, then the development authority will terminate the agreement. Also, the amount deposited by the beneficiary will also not be refunded.
It is being told that complaints of rigging are also coming under PM Awas Yojana. This step is being taken to stop him. After the new rules, rigging will be curbed.
Urban housing scheme will not be free hold
While there are complaints about taking accommodation under PM Awas Yojana and renting it out. A rule has also been set to prevent this. The flats built under the Urban Housing Scheme will never be free hold. People will have to stay on lease even after five years.
