Changes have also been made in the rules regarding PM Awas Yojana, it is important for the beneficiaries to know this information. If there is any mistake in this then your agreement will be canceled and the deposited amount will not be refunded.
If you had also enrolled under PM Awas Yojana and have got housing, then definitely read this news. There is a condition in the changed rule that you have to stay in the said accommodation for 5 years, failing which the allotment or agreement will be cancelled.
This is the changed rule
1. If you live in PM house for a full 5 years, then that house will be registered in your name. The purpose of bringing this rule is to stop the increasing rigging.
2. If you do not live in the house allotted under PM Awas Yojana, then you will be removed from this scheme by the development authority and the agreement will also be cancelled. If the agreement is to be saved, then it has to be used for 5 years to survive.
3. Many people allot PM Awas in their name and give it on rent, but now they will not be able to do so under the changed rule. Urban PM housing will be given on lease after the end of 5 years. So you will not be able to rent it.
