Benefits of PM Jan Dhan Yojana: The central government has announced a relief package for a countrywide lock-down set up to prevent corona epidemic infection in the country! Several bank accounts were opened during the Prime Minister’s Jan Dhan Yojana! About 36 crore bank accounts have been opened in this scheme so far! The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi in 2014! Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana aims to connect people with financial banks! Rs 10,000 to be met during lockdown
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said in the economic package that 20 crore women in the country will be given financial assistance of Rs 500-500 for 3 months! This amount will come to the women’s Jan Dhan account! The finance minister further said that women benefited from Ujjwala Yojana in the country will be given free gas cylinders for the next 3 months! No amount will be charged from them! And, it was decided to double the free interest for 63 lakh self-help groups in the country to Rs 20 lakh! It will benefit about seven crore families in the country! The package will also provide an additional pension of 1000 rupees for the next three months for older persons, widows and disabled people! According to the government, it will benefit about 3 crore families in the country!
