Scheme started in 2019
PM Kisan Yojana was started by the government in 2019 on behalf of Prime Minister Modi. The objective of this scheme is to financially help the farmers having cultivable land. Under the scheme, there is a provision to give Rs 6000 annually to the beneficiary farmers. This money is sent to the accounts of the beneficiary farmers in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The benefit of this scheme is not given by the government to the farmers who pay income tax and those doing government jobs.
The 14th installment was released by the government in July. It has already been told by the government that Rs 2000 will not be credited to the accounts of those farmers whose accounts are not linked to different portals. Recently, the government came to know that some ineligible farmers are also taking advantage of the scheme. After this, the e-KYC process was started for verification of farmers. Apart from Bhulekh verification, Aadhaar seeding is also necessary.
