New Delhi, Business Desk. The central government sends Rs 6,000 to the accounts of eligible beneficiary farmers every year under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. Farmers get these rupees in three equal installments. Prime Minister Modi will release Rs 17,000 crore as the sixth installment to 8.5 lakh crore farmers under the PM Kisan Yojana through video conference on Sunday. The government aims to connect 14 crore farmers with this scheme. Today we will tell you which person is not eligible under PM Kisan Yojana.
The first important thing is that in order to take advantage of this scheme, the land should be in the name of the farmer. If a farmer is doing farming, but the field is in the name of his father or grandfather rather than his name, then that person cannot take advantage of this scheme.
There are many farmers in villages who are involved in farming, but the fields are not their own. That is, they farm in someone else’s fields and give part of each crop to the farm owner instead. Such farmers will also not be included in the list of beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
At the same time, the land is recorded in the documents as cultivable land, but it is used in other works instead of agricultural works. Such farm owners also cannot avail of this scheme.
Serving or retired government employees, current or former MPs / MLAs / Ministers also cannot avail this scheme. Registered doctors, engineers, lawyers, chartered accountants and their family members with professional bodies are also not eligible under this scheme. Also, all those pensioners who get a pension of Rs 10,000 or more cannot also avail this scheme.
