What is Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana
The Union Government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme with the objective of providing financial assistance to farmers! The Central Government has kept the annual budget for the scheme at Rs 7500 crore! The government wants to provide financial assistance to a total of 145 crore farmers in this scheme! But so far less than 10 crore farmers are involved in this scheme! While the scheme has been completed for nearly 18 months! Therefore, the government wants the migrant labourers ( farmers) who came back during the lock down to join the scheme and take advantage of it!
Government defines changed family for the scheme
The Central Government has changed the definition of family to give benefits of the scheme to migrant workers! According to the government, only husband and wife and young children will be counted in the family! If there is a child and his name is in the ground documents, he can apply separately to avail the benefit of the scheme!
How workers will get Rs. 6-6, 000
