A relief package of 1.70 lakh crore has been given under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana to help the poor in the ongoing struggle against the Corona epidemic. The beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh covered under this talked to Prime Minister Modi and told their condition.
Free ration was given to 80 crore people of the country during the disaster of epidemic in 100 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave this information during a conversation with the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) of Madhya Pradesh through video conferencing on Saturday. During this, while asking questions related to the livelihood of the people, the Prime Minister emphasized on education and mentioned the Tokyo Olympics and said that there are also daughters of poor houses who are increasing the value of the country. After this, the Prime Minister said that the poor should get top priority in the country’s strategy designed to deal with the disaster of the epidemic that came in the hundred years.
The third wave of the pandemic has to be stopped: PM
The Prime Minister said, ‘Amidst the excitement of the festivals, we have not to forget Corona. We have to stop the third wave of Corona from coming. Mask, vaccine and distance of two yards, this is very important. We have to take a pledge for a healthy India, we have to take a pledge for a prosperous India. Describing the earlier government system as shabby, the Prime Minister said that in the earlier system, he himself used to ask questions about the poor and give answers himself. The extent to which the benefit is to be reached was not thought of earlier. In this time of worldwide crisis on livelihood, it is constantly being ensured that there is minimum loss in India. For this, many steps have been taken in the last year and are being taken continuously.
Biggest disaster in 100 years
The Prime Minister said, ‘Whatever the disaster, its impact is very wide, it is far-reaching. Corona has caused the biggest disaster on the entire humanity in 100 years. To deal with the crisis arising out of Corona, India gave top priority to the poor in its strategy. Whether it is the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana or the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana, the food and employment of the poor and workers were concerned from day one. After interacting with the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘The free food grains received from the government in this crisis is a relief for every family. This satisfaction was shown in the interaction with the people.
New potential of self-reliant India – 50 crore vaccinations
Referring to One Nation One Ration Card, the Prime Minister said, ‘The number of fronts India is dealing with together today in the situation created by Corona, it shows the potential of our country. Today, for the convenience of the workers working in other states, the facility of One Nation-One Ration Card is being provided. The Prime Minister also mentioned about corona vaccination and said that India has crossed the very important stage of injecting 50 crore vaccine doses. There are many countries in the world, whose vaccines are being administered by India in a week more than the total population. This is the new potential of a new India, a self-reliant India.
Reminded of handloom day
Recalling the Handloom Day today, the Prime Minister said, “Khadi, which was once forgotten, has become a new brand today. Now that we are embarking on a new journey towards 100 years of independence, we have to strengthen that spirit of Khadi for independence. For a self-reliant India, we have to be vocal for the local. The Prime Minister said that another big campaign to empower villages, poor and tribals has been launched in the country. This campaign is to encourage our handicrafts, handloom, our workmanship of cloth. This campaign is to be vocal towards the local.
The program organized through video conferencing started with the Chief Minister’s address. The Chief Minister said, ‘The distribution campaign of free food grains under PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana will run till November 2021. This campaign started in April itself. I want to thank the PM, he has given subsidy of Rs 32,204 crore to 26,27,899 families since 2016 to build houses. The Prime Minister interacted with Maya Uike, a resident of Hoshangabad in the state, Chandrabhan of Rewari, Rajendra Sharma, a resident of Burhanpur.
This scheme costing more than Rs 2 lakh crore was started for the poor to provide free food grains during the corona epidemic. Prime Minister Modi had also tweeted about this event to be held today and said, ‘More than 4.8 crore brothers and sisters of Madhya Pradesh will benefit from this scheme.’ Announced in March 2020, the scheme, costing Rs 1.70 lakh crore, aims to help the poor fighting the war against the corona virus so that they do not have money and food in their hands.

The Chief Minister tweeted and said, ‘The Prime Minister will interact with the beneficiaries online on 7 August 2021 in the free ration distribution program under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.’ He said that Prime Minister Modi is committed to the welfare of the poor. In his blessings and virtual dignified presence, the program of food festival will be completed in Madhya Pradesh under ‘Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana’.
The Chief Minister said in a tweet, ‘Through this program of ‘Anna Utsav’, 1 crore 15 lakh families of the state will get 5 kg wheat and rice per person per month. Madhya Pradesh is committed to make every effort for the welfare and progress of the poor under the guidance of the Prime Minister.

Every health worker battling Kovid-19 will get an insurance of Rs 50 lakh, which has been extended for one year from April 2021.
– 80 crore poor population will be given free 5 kg wheat or rice and 1 kg pulses every month till November 2021.
Rs 500 will be given every month for three months to 20 crore women holding Jan Dhan account.
Daily earning under MGNREGA has been increased from Rs 182 to Rs 202 which will benefit 13.62 crore families.
