On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced Gatishakti initiative from the ramparts of Red Fort. PM Modi said that Rs 100 lakh crore will be spent on this.



Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gatishakti National Plan Scheme’ on the occasion of 75th Independence Day on Sunday. Under this scheme, the central government will spend Rs 100 lakh crore. Under this scheme, along with providing employment opportunities to the youth, all round development of the country’s infrastructure will also be done. PM Modi has given this in his speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

In his address to the country from the ramparts of Lala Fort, PM Modi said that along with modernization, India will have to adopt the path of all-round development to develop its infrastructure. The Prime Minister said that the Gatishakti-National Master Plan will be announced in the coming days.

PM Modi told what will be its benefits

He said that the Gatishakti initiative, which will cost more than Rs 100 lakh crore, will provide employment opportunities to the youth of the country and will also ensure all-round development of infrastructure. PM Modi said that with the Gatishakti initiative, local manufacturers will also be able to become globally competitive. Along with this, there will also be possibilities of developing new economic zones in the future.

The Prime Minister said that 7 years ago, mobile phones worth $ 8 billion were imported into India. But India now exports mobile phones worth $3 billion every year.

India moves towards making world class products

Along with developing modern infrastructure, the PM also said that we have to make our mark as a country producing world class production. India will emerge as a country which will develop best innovation and new age technology.

Digital entrepreneurs coming out of villages


PM Modi said that the government is now focusing on small farmers, who own less than 2 hectares of land and constitute 80 percent of all farmers in the country. Big changes are also taking place in rural areas. He said that now digital entrepreneurs are coming out of the villages too.
