PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana: Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, a subsidy of up to Rs 78,000 is given for installing a rooftop solar plant and a target has been set to provide Muft Bijli up to 300 units to one crore households.

PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana: Under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, a subsidy of up to Rs 78,000 is given for installing rooftop solar plant and a target has been set to provide Muft Bijli up to 300 units to one crore households. Families will get a subsidy of ₹ 30,000 for 1 kW system, ₹ 60,000 for 2 kW system and ₹ 78,000 for 3 kW system.

Loan facility You can get collateral-free low interest loan at the rate of about 7 percent for residential RTS system installation up to 3 kW. This loan is available with many big banks. The government said, “The interest rate has been fixed 0.5 percent higher than the repo rate fixed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) from time to time. If the repo rate, which is currently 6.5 percent, decreases to 5.5 percent, the effective interest rate for consumers will be 6 percent instead of the current 7 percent.” How much loan can be taken Installation of solar roof top up to 3 kW capacity: You can take a loan of up to Rs 2,00,000. Whereas for installation of solar roof top of more than 3 kW and up to 10 kW capacity, you can take a loan of up to Rs 6,00,000. Who can avail the scheme

The applicant must have his own house and a rooftop to install solar panels on it

The applicant is not taking benefit of any other solar scheme

Interested applicants can register at https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in to avail the scheme. The portal will assist them by providing necessary information like correct system size, vendor rating, benefits calculator etc.
