- Applicant (female only) should be 18 years of age.

PMUY Offline Form Process
- Apart from PMUY Online Form, you can also submit the application offline. Following are the necessary guidelines for this.
- A woman from a BPL household can apply for a new LPG connection (in the prescribed format) to the nearest LPG distributor.
- While submitting the application form, the woman has to submit the detailed address, Jan Dhan bank account and Aadhar number of all the members of the household.
- After processing the application by the Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), the connection will be released to the eligible beneficiaries.

Q1 : What is Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY)?
Answer : This scheme is to provide LPG connections to women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. Under this scheme, 5 crore LPG connections will be given to BPL families over a period of three years. 1.5 crore LPG connections will be given to the eligible beneficiaries during the year 2016-17.

Q5: How to know whether the applicant is eligible under PMUY?
Ans : The applicant will submit the PMUY Online Form Ujjwala KYC Form to the nearest LPG Distributor and LPG Area Officer/Distributor, who will tally the application against SECC-2011 database and verify their BPL status and physical details of no LPG connection at their home.
After tracing the verification, the distributors will enter the details (name, address, Aadhaar, bank account details and Aadhaar numbers of adult family members etc.) in a dedicated OMC web portal through the login/password provided by the OMC. The OMC will conduct de-duplication exercise electronically to trace any multiple connections in the household or existing connections with an adult member of the household. If more than one connection is not available then the beneficiary will be issued a new LPG connection under the scheme.
Q6: How will the enrollment of the beneficiary be done under the Ujjwala scheme?
Ans : Submit the Ujjwala KYC to the nearest LPG distributor and the LPG sector officials will match the PMUY Online Form against the SECC-2011 database by identifying the beneficiary through AHL_TIN number and after ascertaining their BPL status, the details (name , Address, Aadhaar etc.). In a dedicated OMC web portal through the login/password provided by the OMC. The OMCs will conduct de-duplication exercise and other measures electronically before issuing a new LPG connection under the scheme to the beneficiary.
Q7: What is the Ujjwala beneficiary getting under the Ujjwala scheme?
Answer: The entire cost of new connection including security deposit (cylinder and pressure regulator), cost of safety hose pipe, DGCC book, installation and administrative charges will be borne by the government on lump sum basis. The total cost of new connection borne by the government is Rs.1600/-.
Q8: Who will pay the LPG stove charges and refill cost?
Answer: While issuing a new LPG connection under the scheme, the customer has to purchase the LPG stove and pay the refill charges first. The beneficiary will have the option to pay for the same in advance or avail EMI option to pay the cost of LPG stove or first refill or both by submitting prescribed undertaking to avail loan on refill/LPG stove to the distributor. Will be done. The cost of LPG stove or refill or both will be recovered by OMCs on EMI basis from the subsidy amount payable to the consumer on the purchase of each refill.

Answer : The cost i.e. Rs.1600/- per connection is borne by the Government by way of reimbursement to the Oil Marketing Company. The OMCs, in turn, after weekly reconciliation of the number of LPG connections issued, the cost of safety hose pipe, DGCC book and lump sum installation and administrative charges ie (Rs.100+25+75=200) in the account of the concerned distributor on a weekly basis reimburses. by them under PMUY scheme.
Question: The applicant claims that he is from a BPL family but his name is not there in the SECC data. In that case, who is to be contacted to add the name?
Answer : The new connection under PMUY will be issued only to those women whose name is duly entered in the SECC-2011 data.
Question. Beneficiary name of applicant is appearing under Ujjwala but he is no longer alive, can his/her daughter/granddaughter get Ujjwala connection?
Answer : They are eligible subject to other conditions that only the family will be given the connection and other conditions prescribed are fulfilled.

Answer : AHL_TIN number is the abbreviated Household List-Temporary Identification Number which is a 29 digit provisional number assigned by SECC-2011. Answer . This scheme was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister on May 1, 2016 in UP and on May 15, 2016 in Dahod for the states of Gujarat, MP and Rajasthan.
