Punjab National Bank savings accounts will be closed from July 1

If you have a savings account in PNB Bank, then first check its status. PNB is going to close such accounts by the end of this month till June 30, 2024. The bank has said in its notification that the accounts in which there has been no transaction for the last 3 years. Also, those whose account balance has remained at zero rupees for the last three years. He is going to close it. Notice has been sent to such customers. Those accounts will be closed one month after sending the notice. If you want to keep those accounts active, then go to the bank branch and get KYC done immediately. Otherwise, these bank accounts will be closed on 1 July 2024.

PNB took the decision to close the savings account

PNB had informed its customers a few days ago that they should get KYC done for such accounts. However, the bank has extended the deadline till 30 June 2024. After that these accounts will be closed from July 1. Many scammers misuse such accounts, which are not being used by the customers for a long time. The bank has taken this big step to deal with such cases. According to the notification issued by the bank, the calculation of the account will be done on the basis of 30 April 2024. The bank has already sent notices to such customers.

Bank accounts can be reactivated by doing KYC

According to the notification issued by the bank, if the account becomes inactive and the customer wants to reactivate the account, then such customers will have to go to the branch and fill the KYC form. Along with the KYC form, the customer will also have to attach the necessary documents. After this, their account will be activated. Customers can go to the bank for more information.
