To avoid such frauds, Punjab National Bank, the second largest public sector bank in the country, has been continuously warning people. In this sequence, PNB has issued another tweet on Wednesday, appealing to its crores of customers to be alert.

Punjab National Bank has posted a message on its official Twitter handle. It has been written in the message that festivals are meant to celebrate, not to regret. Cybercriminals often commit fraud during festivals. Report such incidents of fraudulent messages by visiting https://cybercrime.gov.in.

According to PNB, fraudulent messages are sent to customers saying that they can get a car for free. Punjab National Bank has asked its customers not to click on such fake email links. PNB has asked customers to visit the bank’s official website www.pnbindia.in for bank related information. Information related to the bank will be found on this website.
PNB reduced interest rates on savings accounts
It is worth noting that Punjab National Bank has reduced the interest rate on its savings accounts with effect from December 1, 2021. The bank has decided to reduce the interest rates on savings accounts to 2.80 percent. Earlier the interest rates were earlier 2.90 per cent per annum. Earlier, Punjab National Bank had cut the interest rate on savings account on 1 September 2021.
