If you are a customer of Punjab National Bank (PNB), then there is an important news for you. Actually, PNB has told that the existing cheque books of Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) and United Bank of India will be closed from next month. In such a situation, if you want to avoid trouble, then get the chequebook replaced.
PNB wrote on Twitter , “E-OBC and e-UNI will discontinue their old cheque books from 1st October 2021. The new chequebooks will come with updated IFSC code and MICR of PNB.” According to PNB, applying for a new cheque book can be done at the branch or through ATMs and PNB One. Apart from this, application can also be made through Internet Banking.
The IFSC and MICR code of PNB will be written on the new cheque book. The bank has also issued a toll free number 18001802222. You can get detailed information about the cheque book by calling this number.
