In such cases, the bank also has to settle the complaint related to it at the earliest. There is also a provision to pay compensation from the bank for not doing so. So let’s know what are the rules related to RBI regarding not withdrawing money from ATM. Also, you will know what the customers of Punjab National Bank should keep in mind.
Money was not withdrawn from ATM, but deducted from account
Whenever this happens to you, first of all contact the bank and inform the bank about this matter. For this, you can file a complaint on Punjab National Bank’s toll free number 1800 180 2222, 1800 103 2222. By the way, the bank itself credits the money in the account in the event of such a transaction without any complaint. But, still you should file a complaint. In such a situation, you can easily communicate with the bank in this matter. The special thing is that this process has to be followed even when doing transaction from other bank’s ATM.
In how many days does the money come?
According to the information given by Punjab National Bank, if the transaction is not completed, the money is credited to the account immediately. For this the customer does not need to make any complaint. If this is never possible, then according to the rules of RBI, it is necessary to settle the complaint within 7 days.
What if it is more than 7 days?
PNB has given information on its official website itself that according to the RBI guidelines, after the delay of more than 7 days, the bank will have to pay Rs 100 as compensation to the customer every day. Also, the special thing is that the bank will have to pay this damages every day without making any claim on the part of the customer. However, if the complaint is not registered within 30 days from the date of the transaction, the customer will not be paid the amount of damages.
