Debit card or credit card is the biggest need in today’s time. Sitting at home, where you can easily do shopping or online transactions with the help of these cards, these cards help you in cashless transactions outside the house. But if you want to enable or disable these cards due to high expenses, then you do not need to visit the bank for this. You can enable or disable your card from the comfort of your home. Let us tell you about the steps that will be helpful in enabling or disabling the card.

At any point of time, if you have been a victim of fraud due to debit card or have lost your card, then this feature is of great use to you. You can disable your debit card. When you get your debit card, enable it again. This feature is of great use even in case of loss or theft of purse including debit card.
How to enable / disable your card through ATM
- Insert your debit card in the nearest ATM machine.
- Go to the next page by selecting the language in the banking option.
- Here on the top left, there will be an option for Card Services.
- After selecting it, the option of Enable / Disable has to be selected.
- Here you will see many options like – Enable / Disable Domestic Use, Enable / Disable
- International Use or Enable / Disable Both Use
- You have to choose one of these options and click on the submit button.
- The message of ‘Successful’ will be shown on the screen.
How to do Net Banking
If you have disabled the debit card, you can enable it in the same way next time. According to your convenience, you can keep your debit card safe through this feature. But if you don’t want to go to ATM. Internet banking is a great option if you do not want to step out of your house and want to use the enable/disable feature of your debit card sitting at home.
Login to the net banking site of PNB.
- Here click on Debit Card option.
- You will get this option in Value Added Services.
- Select Enable/Disable option in it.
- On the next page select your account number.
- Now submit here by entering the card number, expiry date, card pin.
- Now on the next page you have to choose the options.
- Domestic use enabled/disabled, International use enabled/disabled,
- On submission, OTP will be sent to your registered mobile. Submit it.
- Debit card preferences updated successfully message will come.
There is also facility on mobile app
You can also use this feature in PNB’s mobile app by following a similar process. After login to the app, you have to select the Debit Card option. Then in the next step there will be an option to enable / disable. Here you can use it with the security code.
